Welcome to The Echo Surfers, an eco-conscious surf school and ocean experience center based directly at Praia da Fonte da Telha in Costa da Caparica, Portugal — just 30 minutes south of Lisbon. We follow the rhythm and energy of the Atlantic tides, offering safe, inspiring, and progressive surf instruction for all ages and skill levels.

Surf School Lessons & Private Coaching

Learn to surf or refine your technique with our certified Portuguese Surfing Federation (FPS) instructors. We offer beginner surf lessons, intermediate coaching, 1-on-1 private classes, and multi-session progression packs. High-quality surfboards and warm seasonal wetsuits are included with every session.

Adult Surf Retreats in Portugal

Immerse yourself in our signature ocean retreats. Combining daily in-water coaching, HD video analysis, yoga and mobility sessions, healthy seaside meals, and accommodation along the Costa da Caparica coast, our retreats are designed to elevate your surfing and connect you with nature.

Echo Kids Summer Surf & Nature Camps

Our Echo Kids programs provide children and teenagers (ages 6–16) with an unforgettable summer experience. Supervised by qualified lifeguards and surf coaches, kids develop water safety skills, learn ocean conservation, build friendships, and master the fundamentals of wave riding.

Situated at the foot of the protected Arriba Fóssil nature reserve at Kailua Fonte da Telha, our beach offers wide sandy banks, clean Atlantic waves, and spectacular sunsets. Easily accessible from Lisbon by car via the A2/A33 highway or by public transit from Cacilhas.
